KelliliciousWith foundations firmly laid as one of house music's rising talents, DJ and Vocalist Kelly Sylvia - better known as Kellilicious - has been cited amongst her industry peers in as a one-woman force to watch out for. Kellilicious co-founded SHEJAY - the world’s first and largest collective and first platform for promoting female DJs. With the word 'Shejay' now commonly used by journalists and promoters the world over to describe a female DJ, it's safe to say Shejay has played a pioneering role in helping to give these women both a face and a place on the map.
Annie Lennox
Classically trained Annie Lennox has a hugely successful international music career spanning four decades, built up of solo achievements and those with her two pop bands, The Tourists and Eurythmics, marking her as one of the greatest and bestselling singer/songwriters ever. The humanitarian mother of two is also a political and social activist, and founder of the SING campaign. Through this venture Annie has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds to help alleviate HIV/AIDS in South Africa and to raise awareness.
Tawiah
Audacious Tawiah is a former member of the Brit School peforming academy in London. Her soul stylings have caught the attention of producers such as Mark Ronson, having toured as the only live female singer at his gigs. She has also sung back up for Corinne Bailey Rae and The Guillemots. BBC Radio 1 DJ Gilles Peterson announced her a winner of his Worldwide Award for Best Newcomer and her songs are already staples on the underground nu soul scene. Her bold, individual style sets her leagues apart from the overly sexualised norms of the genre.
Miriam Makeba
Grammy Award-winner Miriam Makeba, aka Mama Afrika, was a South African singer who used the fame she gained through her musical talent to further her work as a civil rights activist. Miriam battled through the controversy which surrounded her name and an exile of over 30 years caused by her testifying against apartheid.

Pink
Yes ... we did say it ... PINK! The Grammy and Brit Award-winning Singer is renowned for her rebellious nature and bold parodies of other female ‘celebrities’. Pink is also an activist, and as a prominent campaigner for PETA, is not afraid to use her voice to protest against foxhunting, the use of fur, and against companies such as KFC. UNICEF and Save the Children are just two of the many charities Pink is involved with.

Tamsin Little
In addition to a flourishing career as violin soloist which has taken her to every continent of the world, Tasmin Little was Artistic Director of her hugely successful “Delius Inspired” festival, which was broadcast on BBC Radio 3. The festival, which comprised events ranging from orchestral concerts and chamber music to films and exhibitions, also reached 800 school children in an ambitious programme designed to widen interest in classical music for young people. Tasmin offers CDs of her recordings free of charge on her website, in order to introduce classical music to more people, and encourage their enjoyment.
Susanne Vega
Widely regarded as one of the most brilliant songwriters of her generation, Suzanne Vega emerged as a leading figure of the folk-music revival of the early 1980s when, accompanying herself on acoustic guitar, she sang what has been labelled contemporary folk or neo-folk songs of her own creation in Greenwich Village clubs. Since the release of her self-titled, critically acclaimed 1985 debut album, she has given sold-out concerts in many of the world's best-known halls.
