the campaign - who we are

Abi Moore
Abi was born on the same day as Emma, in South East London, in the summer of 1971. After getting a degree in Graphic Design she dreamed of making films for the telly, after making tea for some time she landed a dream job with Sir Jeremy Isaacs, on the award wining documentary series' 'Coldwar' and 'Millennium'. A chance meeting then sent her off to Peru to make a travel documentary starring herself, and another chance meeting saw her on a 1958 London double decker bus for 8 months, filming a group of 20 somethings and their journey from Halifax in Canada to Lima Peru, travelling at a top speed of 30 miles an hour.

On her return to civilisation Abi got serious and worked for the next 7 years at CNN International. It was here that whilst filming an amazing scientist called Naomi Halas, who was working on a totally new way of treating cancer that Abi finally 'cracked' in disgust at the almost blanket media coverage of the inane and pointless story of Paris Hilton being released from prison. PinkStinks was born.

Since leaving CNN in September 2008 Abi has been freelancing for Amnesty International, amongst others, making web content. When she's not at work Abi is thinking about PinkStinks, talking about PinkStinks and working on PinkStinks until the early hours. During her tea breaks she is mother to two young sons and wife to one husband.

Emma Moore
Emma was born in South East London but spent her formative years in Tottenham, North London. She is proud to have a Media Studies degree from De Montfort University due to a piece of good timing way back in the early nineties. This meant she was able to embark on a career in publishing which has since developed into career in web publishing and all sorts of other things like helpdesk management, magazines, marketing and PR.

Emma has worked for a number of high profile organisations including the National Children's Bureau and the Audit Commission. She is currently a trustee for the National Childminding Association and her day job is as Head of Information and Publishing for the National Council for Voluntary Organisations.

When not working on any of the above, or on PinkStinks, she spends time enjoying two lovely daughters, visiting White Hart Lane, soulful music, cooking gourmet dinners and eating curry.
